The Florida Certification Board operates two discipline-specific advisory councils:  the Behavioral Health Advisory Council (BHAC) and the Child Welfare Advisory Council (CWAC).  The purpose of the councils is to provide direction to the FCB Board of Directors on policy related issues, ethical violations and other issues impacting the certified population.

The Behavioral Health Advisory Council focuses on the following certification types:  Addiction, Prevention, Criminal Justice, Mental Health, and Behavioral Health.

The Child Welfare Advisory Council focuses on the Child Welfare Protective Investigator, Child Welfare Case Manager and Child Welfare Licensing Counselor credentials.
