Beginning July 1, 2017, the Florida Certification Board is changing a standard for the types of training that will be accepted for new certification applications. This change will affect applications across all credential types.  Training hours needed to fulfill certification application requirements will be accepted from approved training and education providers ONLY.  This means:

  • FCB-approved education providers
  • Accredited academic institutions, or
  • Providers of continuing education that are approved by state licensing boards and nationally recognized groups, such as NAADAC.

This standard has been in place, and still stands, for continuing education hours that can be applied towards certification renewal requirements.
