Appeal a Disciplinary Sanctions

You may appeal disciplinary action if:

  1. Due process was not followed, or
  2. New, relevant information has become available since the ethics committee’s review.

The Board will have 10 days to issue a decision on the acceptance or denial of an appeal.

Note: If you did not respond to the initial investigation notice, you forfeit the right to appeal.

Disciplinary Actions and Sanctions

The Florida Certification Board is committed to protecting the public and upholding the highest professional standards. You can look up applicants and certified professionals who have been found in violation of the Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct and received disciplinary sanctions.

If someone has been disciplined, their record will show details about the violation and the action taken. Names are not removed once sanctions are satisfied—disciplinary information remains part of the individual’s permanent professional record to support transparency and public trust.
