The Certified Resiliency Advocate (CRA) credential demonstrates advanced competency in the skills and knowledge necessary to help young people build resiliency and thrive. CRAs have participated in training, documented 2,000 hours of experience working with children and youth, and passed a competency exam. A Certified Resiliency Advocate actively incorporates resiliency strategies and techniques as they interact with children and youth.
The FCB’s resiliency credentials are focused on the skills necessary to help young people build resiliency and thrive despite their life challenges.
CRA Application
Applicants must:
- Create an online account and CRA application.
- Pass a Level 2 background check.
- Hold a high school diploma or general equivalency degree or higher.
- Can document 2,000 hours of paid or volunteer experience working with children and youth. Eligible experience happened in the five (5) years prior to application.
- Take 16 hours of resiliency-specific training.
- Pay the application fee.
The online application captures your demographic information, educational background, current work or volunteer environment, and training. Be prepared to upload your degree and training files to the online application.
You will provide the Verification of Supervised Work Experience form to your former or current supervisor. This person will complete the form and submit it directly to the FCB on your behalf.
You can expect to be contacted by your FCB Certification Specialist within 30 days of submitting your online application and fee payment.

- Apply for Certification – Complete your application, upload required documents, provide supervisor names and email addresses for required forms, submit your application, and pay the certification application fee.
- Track Your Application Status – View the status and progress of your certification application.
- Pay Exam Fees – Submit required examination fees online.
- View Current Credentials – Access information about your active FCB credentials.
- Renew Credentials – Complete your credential renewal online.
